Jews have been blowing the Shofar, a simple hollowed out ram’s horn, for thousands of years in celebration of Rosh Hashana, or the Head of the Year – also known as the birthday of humanity.

Shofar in the Park is a fun alternative for taking part in this sacred “Mitzvah” especially for those who are not able to attend regular services on the first day of Rosh Hashanah.

At 5:30pm Monday, September 30, the first day of Rosh Hashana join us at the Herndon Elemntary School Playground, 630 Dranesville Rd, Herndon, VA 20170, as we blow the Shofar, and share honey cake and apples & honey.

Toot us a Horn, and announce your arrival. Let us know that you'll be joining the Shofar in the Park.   Click here
